My work at CEIFAR had a Positive impact - conections across potention barriers of language, age & culture.

The most difficult chalenges were controling a classroom of 12 children with my very limited knowledge of Portuguese.

Rules and regulations: uniforms; kids responding to teacher's authority.

My duties: teaching English; crafts with 3 year olds.

The most important project developed was just begining to establish an English Teaching Program.

Suggestion for future volunteers:
- Be flexible;
- Expect change;
- Have several different activities planned so you can respond to changes.
